People In High Places

The Royal Institute of British Architects have published a 1988 lecture by Tower Blocks UK co-founder Sam Webb entitled 'People In High Places'. Discussing the Ronan Point disaster, Sam Webb recalls the safety failings that led to the 1968 building collapse.

More than 30 years since his 1988 lecture, and following his MBE award, Sam draws similarities to the current day,

“There are many parallels in what was found in the painstaking demolition of Ronan Point in 1986, 35 years later at the Grenfell Inquiry”,
